Overview: To secure audiovisual materials on modern Korean history with high research and public-use value, this project collected previously overlooked films held by the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, cataloged them, wrote descriptive annotations, and advanced a deeper audiovisual-archive framework.

Details: Surveyed and collected moving-image materials related to modern Korean history held by NARA, including previously unknown U.S. military-captured North Korean footage; the corpus covered 96 titles and 142 reels across four media types: feature films, documentaries, newsreels, and raw footage / cataloged and annotated the collected materials / developed synopsis concepts and production directions for derivative video content / prepared a future plan for collecting overseas films related to modern Korean history.
